Wine Tasting at the Brisbane City Winery! - March, 24th 2020

We held an exclusive wine tasting event at City Winery in Fortitude Valley. We enjoyed tasting an array of incredible Gerler wines, whilst looking at how Nutanix helps customers to modernize their datacenters and run applications at any scale, on-prem and in the cloud. StorageCraft OneXafe Webinar - November, 12th 2020

After our last webinar, many of the attendees were eager to jump into the technical details behind the StorageCraft OneXafe solution. So, we organised a live follow-up webinar on Thursday 12th November! For those of you who are fluent in technical talk, we secured Karl Thomson, StorageCraft Technology Evangelist, to join Michael Watson in delivering this technical presentation for us. In the presentation, we covered:

  • Want to get rid of tape whilst maintaining long-term archive?
  • Sick of RAID and lengthy rebuild times?
  • Sick of Forklift Upgrades?
  • Backup 20tb data pool every 90 seconds (with immutable snapshots) and instantly recover?
  • How to achieve Glacier and S3 storage economics in your private cloud?
  • How to have a 200tb file share cryptoed and instantly recover from any snapshot using OneXafe?

StorageCraft OneXafe Webinar -
October, 15th 2020

When we're out talking with customers about their backup, disaster recovery and business continuity architecture, we hear the same challenges over and over:

  • As data retention requirements grow, you're dealing with 'NAS sprawl' or worse, still managing tape backups.
  • Security concerns with disk-based backups - how secure are they against ransomware?
  • Lack of redundancy and separation in backup design
  • RTO- how long is acceptable for the organisation's critical services to be down? Does your current business continuity solution support that RTO goal?
  • IT staff (you!) are dealing with a legacy design for backup management, often using several applications which adds to complexity.

The answer to your backup prayers is the StorageCraft OneXafe Object Storage device. With so many customers wanting to improve the resiliency, security, scale and functionality of their backup, archival and file serving solutions, we organised a webinar to tackle all of those pain points.

StorageCraft Territory Manager, Michael Watson joined our sales team - Amanda, John and Matthew on Thursday 15th October for a live webinar. Click here to watch the webinar on our YouTube channel!

Fortinet-Saasyan-webinar

Network Security and Cyber Welfare - September 10th, 2020

We know that many schools have implemented online monitoring systems to assist with pastoral care and ensure they fulfill their duty of care. Some systems provide pastoral care capabilities and try to be a firewall. Unfortunately, they're not true enterprise-grade firewalls and cause the IT department headaches.

Our schools using non-enterprise grade firewalls tend to experience more security incidents and bottleneck issues than other schools. An enterprise-grade firewall like Fortinet’s can resolve those headaches, improve performance and deliver lower total cost of ownership. Combine this with Saasyan Assure, a cloud-based solution that uses Logs and API Calls to analyse the information from your firewall, and you have a simple and effective solution!

We had an hour of power with Fortinet and Saasyan to explore this bespoke Education solution on Thursday September 10th.

Microsoft Teams for Online Learning - June 16th, 2020

2020-Event-Saasyan-Reciprocity

Saasyan Reciprocity (Online Webcast) - May 27th, 2020

A typical school houses several apps: a school management system, a timetabling system, a learning management system, a web filtering system, and a student/parent portal. These apps don't integrate well, resulting in struggles with the admin and volume of this data.

In our Saasyan Reciprocity webinar, we covered how Reciprocity enables disparate apps to share data – by aggregating data from various systems of record and makes it accessible centrally. In other words, it provides the user with one simple view of their data from various disparate applications.

2020-Brewtanix

Brewtanix (Online Webcast) - May 14th, 2020

We held an informal webcast event, introducing you to Xi Beam by Nutanix. A timely presentation, as businesses need to keep cloud costs and governance in control while scaling a remote workforce

Xi Beam from Nutanix provides multi-cloud governance including security compliance and cost optimisation to help gain visibility, optimisation and automated control over cloud deployments. You can visualise cloud consumption across both public and private clouds and directly enforce policies that improve cloud security and controls cloud costs.

Due to the current need for social distancing, this was not our standard Brewtanix format – attendees were sent a chilled beverage pack, featuring some brilliant small batch brews, to enjoy alongside the presentation.
